Hey y’all, my name is Jenn, and welcome to the Collectively Inspired blog!
If you’re reading this, and you know me, hello friend! For those who are new, I’m thrilled to share a little bit more about myself, my creative passions, and my journey through life through the words that I’m putting into this blog.
I was born and raised in North Carolina, and currently live in the Triangle area with my family. I’m an Enneagram 2 (wing 3, for what it’s worth), so I inherently focus more on people and others, so don’t be surprised by my nature to give back!
Speaking of people, that was my longtime focus over the last 10+ years, in my career as a Human Resources professional. Fraught with immense burnout, though, and trying to figure out whether to continue upward in my career, or exit – life ultimately forced my hand. In 2021, I was met with an unthinkable, life-threatening medical event. Saving my own life, medically, by using my voice and advocating for my own health, I am grateful to be typing these words today.
It took months for me to process (physically, mentally, and emotionally) what I had experienced, and it led me to intense internal reflection on how I wanted to live my life. As you have probably guessed by now, I decided to exit my HR career, and say hello to living my life for joy each and every day.
And with that, I feel compelled to jump straight into that joy, and tell you about my love of nature, florals, and bringing the people aspect back into focus as I share that joy and celebrate them through the everyday, and even momentous occasions in their lives.
Well, I can’t tell you everything in this one post (you’d be reading forever!) But, I want this blog to be an anchor for all things inspired, in my life, with florals, and in nature. My hope is to bring education to others about our environment, share behind the scenes and how-to’s about all things floral arranging, gardening, and more, and to highlight all the fun creativity that I’m bringing to life through my floral work, spanning everyday arrangements and weddings and events.
I so appreciate you being here, and I can’t wait to continue to share more with you along my Collectively Inspired journey!
– Jenn
